Secret Agent Cam Future Features
Posted on April 25th, 2010 No commentsThough our new application, Secret Agent Cam has only been out for a few days, we would like to start receiving feedback from our loyal users. Below is a poll we are conducting to see what new features our users would like to see in the updates we will be releasing for Secret Agent Cam. Through the list, we will incrementally update Secret Agent Cam based on what users say. This is not a “top on is the only update we do” type of situation. We want to know where YOU, the user, wants Secret Agent Cam to be in the future.
We may have overlooked a feature you think should really be in the next update – we would love to hear from you. Vote “Other” and leave your idea or simply shoot us an email at contact@alkalimedia.com and we will add it to the poll. Thanks again to our loyal users. We couldn’t do it without you. =)

Preston & Steve Version 2.0 is Now LIVE in the App Store!
Posted on September 5th, 2009 No commentsWe are very excited to announce that the second version of our Preston & Steve iPhone Soundboard is available now for download in the iPhone App Store! The newest version has some extremely cool new features that we know Preston & Steve fans are sure to enjoy. New features include:
- 9 new sounds including Pierre’s Noodling, “All I did was get out of the shower!”, “Hey Bitches, Hey What!”, “Monkey Pick Ass!” and more.
- A brand new look – a new background image to match WMMR’s new look, new buttons which can be pressed down.
- A “Stop” button to stop sounds from playing
- Bug fixes and improved stability.
We were not sure if this update would be approved, due to some of the questionable sounds (e.g. “Monkey Feces Throw, Monkey Pick Ass” and “Hey Bitches, Hey What”. But we were pleasantly surprised when we found out yesterday that our update had been approved! This does not mean we are sitting back and resting at all. More sounds will continue to be added and we are also working on another WMMR/Preston & Steve related application.
Stay tuned!

New Projects and New People.
Posted on September 1st, 2009 No commentsSo here it is. The end of August. We are finally getting where we want to be as a company and we aren’t looking back. New clients, new projects, and new people are just a little of what’s in store for our next year as a full service iPhone development and publishing company. We couldn’t be more happy.
We recently met two new friends through online social networking site. Maybe you’ve heard of it? Twitter anyone? The two dudes we met seem to have everything we need in terms of programming so that we are able to continue to grow as a company. iPhone apps and much more are on the way! Be patient. Everyone out there should be hearing much more from us in the upcoming month(s). New updates are being worked on and Pierre Robert, Robots, and David Lee Roth may even make an appearance somewhere along the way?
If there is anyone out there interested in having an application developed for you or your company? Don’t hesitate to contact us here or snoop around over here. We will get results for your company and build a base for your brand.

Drum FX Pro version 2.1 – now with MORE COWBELL!
Posted on July 12th, 2009 No comments
Recently we released an update to our immensely popular Drum FX Pro iPhone application. It added more sounds, including a COWBELL, and it increased stability. Christopher Walken and Blue Oyster Cult would definitely approve of this app.
This recent update has spurred sales quite a bit and now our lovely application is back on the top 100 on many country’s paid music charts. At the time of writing this we are:
- #100 on Canada’s music store
- #63 on US’s music store
- #49 on UK’s music store
ANDDDDDD
- #39 on Australia’s music store
Turns out Australia loves us!
Thanks again for everyone’s support! If you haven’t already, you can download Drum FX Pro version 2.1 here:

Update! New Apps (soon), Ratings, Success!
Posted on June 9th, 2009 No commentsHey Guys,
It’s been a little while since we last updated everyone on what’s been going on in the Alkali Media world. We’ve been working on a few new iPhone apps, and we still have a few in for approval. We had a pair of applications rejected again for the whole offensive content thing… However, we were waiting for what looked like some promise with the iPhone OS 3.0 update, and yesterday we saw some light at the end of the tunnel with the announcement of Parental Controls integrated into the software, as well as a rating system for all App Store Applications at Apple’s annual WWDC. With that, the apps are in for approval again!
We’ve got a few other things in the works right now, so hopefully we’ll be getting multiple applications into the store in the very near future. For now, don’t forget to check out PrudeBox, now apparently world famous for its flamboyant facelift.
Thanks for your continued support, and we’ll be updating you as soon as we have some more news.
Peace!
Chris, Pat & Mike -
Wheels Are in Motion.
Posted on February 4th, 2009 No commentsI am very glad to say Alkali Media is currently back on track with our iPhone application process. We have found a programmer to complete our first project and after this we will have the ability to move forward with our other applications unfettered.
Mike, Chris, and I are all very excited to be back at it and are axiously awaiting the completion of our first application. As soon as it launches, we will have links available on this website.
Special thanks to Justin Biddle for designing a very sleek and elegant new logo for us, which will be posted soon!

Alkali Media Update
Posted on August 19th, 2008 No commentsIn order to keep our customers and the public abreast of our progress, Alkali Media will be maintaining a blog, complete with product updates, developments and other relevant information.
Firstly, our core project is moving along ahead of schedule. Our team is unified and we all understand what needs to be done.
Also, we have decided to add another application to the current work flow. We feel that this application will allow us to fully understand the Application Store process including: the length of time an application will take to be approved, how to create a proper description and market our application, and the opportunity to observe logistic advantages, weaknesses and opportunities. Also, this will allow us to test, troubleshoot and debug an application.
Chris has created very impressive comps for both projects which now only need the expertise of our programmer, Alex, to continue on their way to beta-ville.
Our current tasks include (without revealing our hand):
- Adding functionality to our core project
- Assemble the other elements of the secondary application so Alex can begin to make it functional
- Market research
- Business plan
- Administrative tasks
